From May 10 to 19, Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie, Podium Explore and TOON will be hosting PAFFF. The place-to-be for distinctive international performing arts in the capital of Fryslân, with nine unique performances that call for radical empathy.

BROEI and PAFFF join forces and organize two extremely interesting workshops for young theater makers. The workshops will be given by international artists who will be on stage during PAFFF. Note: the language of the workshops is English.

Would you like to participate in one of the workshops? Sign up no later than Friday May 10!

Workshop 1: theater as an inclusive space

This workshop is for theater practitioners. Of course you want everyone you work with during rehearsals to have the space they need. But what if not everyone walks or sees well, for example? In this workshop, you’ll explore the questions you face and be inspired to think inclusively, even outside the boxes of theater.

Workshop instructor: Luis Guenel, director of Last Hope
Date and time: Saturday May 18 from 18:00 to 20:00 (meal included)
Location: TOON, Leeuwarden

Workshop 2: the body and digital resources

In this workshop, you will explore how to tell stories with your body and how to make connections between digital tools and our immediate, physical environment. You will work with your body language and your own stories. During the workshop you will create a short, visual presentation that reflects on identity, geography and its relationship to society.

Workshop instructor: Ebana Gárin, creator of Reminiscencia and Last Hope
Date and time: Sunday May 19, from 17:30 to 19:00 (meal included)
Location: TOON, Leeuwarden
